Mikaela is a driven and organised individual who has a passion for the law and helping others. After completing her secondary studies in 2021, she dove headfirst into the legal industry working in a local commercial firm whilst completing her Certificate III in Legal Services. Since obtaining this qualification, Mikaela has won an award with the associated Registered Training Organisation and was named a finalist in the NSW Trainee of the Year Awards in the Far North Coast and Mid Coast Region. Although Mikaela is in the early stages of her career, she’s determined to make her mark in the legal community.
Mikaela works in our Ballina office as legal secretary to Associate Lisa Robertson. Of her work with us, Mikaela says “It is a really rewarding role. Knowing that I have made a difference in our client’s lives, especially during a difficult time, is something special. In supporting the ex-police officers, guiding them through the legal process after their service to the community, is the least we can do”.
When not in the office, Mikaela spends her time in class, studying for her next exam or completing assignments as she works through a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) at Griffith University in Queensland. In addition to her professional and academic pursuits, you’ll usually find Mikaela with her friends and family enjoying the outdoors, or active in her community with a local volunteer group.
